Atlantic Station
PROJECT DETAILS
Job Requirements
The challenges on a project like this are something our clients pay us to anticipate. This project was the complete removal of items contained within the central park of Atlantic Station. The park sits above 4 levels of parking and included two metal structures, raised planters, concrete site improvements, elevators, and escalators. Working off of elevated decks required careful coordination with the structural engineer for the project and sequencing of work to prevent overloading any areas. Almost the entire project was completed with just skid steers, mini excavators and shooting forklifts. This project also allowed us to utilize some of our robotic demolition capabilities. The Brokk robotic demolition machines are one of the few products custom built for the demolition industry. They pack an outsize punch for their size and have proven to be very effective tools on projects where access is an issue. All ferrous and non-ferrous metals were separated and processed to maximize values and credits available against costs to ownership. We performed this project for Hoar Construction and partnered with B&D Concrete on all concrete cutting.
