Job Requirements
Athens Church was occupying a former strip retail space and outgrew it quickly. They needed additional outdoor space for their growing congregation and Milestone Construction contracted Green Circle to remove the adjacent improvements to make way for new construction. The project included the separation and safe off of the demolition area and interior demolition required for this scope. We proceeded to mechanically demolish the structure using a few Volvo 200 class excavators and a skidsteer for site clean up.
Solutions/Requirement Challenges
The project was phased with the vertical portion permitted and ready to remove but the slabs, footers, and foundations could not be removed until an LDP was procured. Green Circle demolished and recycled more than 80% of the materials on-site. The project was completed on schedule and on budget.
