Emory Midtown 20 Linden Ave
PROJECT DETAILS
Job Requirements
The $300M+ renovation and expansion of the Emory Midtown campus was a project made for Green Circle Demolition. We utilized almost every division in the completion of this scope of work. We performed asbestos testing in house, then utilized our abatement crews to remove the materials identified. Once the abatement was complete our interior demolition crews stripped out remaining finishes to prepare the building for separation and wrecking. Green Circle equipment operators on company owned equipment demolished and loaded out all C&D and metals into Green Circle Transportation trucks. All ferrous and non-ferrous metals were recycled at our sister company Browns Mill Recycling, maximizing the value of the materials for the client. All concrete materials were crushed by Green Circle for re-use as temporary roads and crane pads for other vendors on the project.
The value of our vertical integration was on full display, and we were able to flex with the construction manager, Batson Cook's, needs by owning the scope completely. There were many times when unforeseen existing conditions were uncovered, and we were able to immediately respond. A great example of this is when we found additional asbestos floor tiles in areas not identified in the survey. If we had to rely on a third party to perform this work, we would not be able to respond next day with our crews and maintain the schedule.
