After major fires in a warehouse, the building becomes very unsafe and unusable. The total selective demolition saved the front entrance and small office area since fire rescue was able to save it while totally wrecking the warehouse. Since the structure is metal, it did become salvageable for recycling. Most demolition contractors will want to sell the metal to metal scrap recycling yards. The great news about this is that the building owner can get money back from recycling their building.
